Collected Topography 2025-10-01 Review
Hi everyone! If you're reading this it means you may have expressed interest in this workshop I did on 2025-01-01. Here's an overview on what happened:
I started off by telling two stories. The first one is about a moth Moth Story glowing in the spotlight of a show that I went to, and the other is about trash. I then gave a slides presentation on the history of the archive, and then we moved onto the workshop.
For this workshop, I asked everyone to bring a show-and-tell object. It could be something picked up a long the way, something meaningful, or something that currently holds their interest. We started off with something I like to call VibeSketching, a process that helps lubricate the connection from our brains to our hands. TAGLINE: The hand tells the brain what the mind needs to know. Then I had everyone set down their objects on a big piece of paper BPOP and we began the ritual. I can't quite tell you what it is, though. The real beauty of it all is that it's something done in-person.
After the ritual was completed, I workshopped how to scan our new Collected Topography using Polycam, and uploaded it to New Art City, where you can find it here!
