What is a container?

A container can mean different things in different arenas.

In this instance, containers can provide a structure that has a set of constraints in which to process or embody an idea, emotional experience, or relational intention. (my definition)

A container is a frame.

A container is useful for relational dynamics, creating specific windows of tolerance and expectations for sorting through difficult emotional experiences.
