So we've all seen these ads for this company and all of New York is united in the hatred of this campaign. But here's the thing - with this publicity and visibility created by this upset, because people feel lonelier and more isolated than ever, inevitably people will actually start to consider this as a viable option. This is what happened with ChatGPT. It started off as a gimmick, a joke even, because who would consider talking to a simulation machine for getting dating advice. But lo and behold, 2025, the year of the Chatbot.

The issue is, what you practice is what gets set in stone. When we all inevitably turn to our Chatbots and AI assistants for human connection and relationality, we lose the opportunity to fumble and build connections with each other. This is why Technological Recompartmentalization is so important - to be able to use our attention and intention when we move through the world facilitated by our tech interfaces. What does it all really come down to? Being able to be present, connected, and attuned.
